WR started almost a year ago with the intent to find and involve others who were interested in improving and protecting the quality of our fisheries for us and the next generation. I've found one way to do that is to educate others who may be new to the sport of fly fishing.
I've meet some excellent people over the last year and had the pleasure of fishing with some real future "trout slayers". It feels real good to see someone new to the sport get so much excitement out of landing a fish and enjoying their day on the water.
With the help of all of WR's contributors, we've found a way to continue expanding on this enjoyment. The WR crew headed to North Georgia this week to spend a day with a group of gals from Sisters on the Fly and present our first Fly Fishing FUNdamentals Class. Sisters on the Fly is an outdoor adventure group for women, travelling in antique trailers fly fishing along their journeys. Sounds like they are onto something here. (Check them out: www.sistersonthefly.com) The Sisters were a great group, full of great questions and a few "ringers" too. All of us enjoyed sharing our time and knowledge with these ladies. Many thanks!
I look forward to many more future classes with other groups and continuing to meet some excellent people who will share our same passion. Feel free to contact us with any questions regarding a class. firstname.lastname@example.org
